The Turkicstan Art & Culture Grant supports creative projects and cultural programming that:
Celebrate and preserve Turkic, Central Asian, and diasporic artistic traditions
Promote BIPOC representation in the regional arts landscape
Provide accessible cultural programming for underserved communities
Foster collaboration between artists, educators, and cultural institutions
Empower emerging and established artists from Turkic and Central Asian communities
Revitalize endangered cultural practices through public engagement

We provide microgrants, artist fees, production support, and material stipends for:
Performances (music, dance, theater, and oral traditions)

Cross-cultural collaborations that center Turkic heritage
As a Boston- and Cambridge-based, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit and Mass Cultural Council-recognized BIPOC-centered organization, Turkicstan is proud to offer The Educational Fund — a community-driven initiative to support equitable, culturally rooted education and leadership development among youth and underserved communities in the Greater Boston Area. The Turkicstan Educational Fund is designed to:
Support free and subsidized cultural education programs in language, music, dance, art, and history from the Turkic world.
Provide scholarships and supplies for children from low-income families, WIC/SNAP recipients, and BIPOC communities.
Empower immigrants through professional development, education, and training.
Host youth workshops, classes, and cultural performances that preserve and celebrate Turkic heritage.
Foster cross-cultural understanding and academic exploration of Turkic studies in partnership with local schools and universities.
We proudly offer the Turkicstan Research Grant — a dedicated funding opportunity for scholars, graduate students, and researchers engaged in advancing the field of Turkic, Central Asian, and faith-based studies in relation to Islam. The Turkicstan Research Grant aims to:
Support innovative academic research that deepens understanding of Turkic history, language, art, literature, migration, identity, and faith.
Encourage community-engaged scholarship that connects academic inquiry with real-world cultural preservation and education.
Promote interdisciplinary and cross-cultural approaches to Turkic, Central Asian, and faith-based studies in relation to Islam.
Create pathways for emerging BIPOC scholars and researchers with lived experience in the Turkic world.
Build bridges between researchers and communities, enhancing cultural literacy and academic access
